After nearly forty years in business, it was time for a major facelift at Spud's. Affectiionately referred to as the "Spud Shack", it was imperative for me to retain the original "Retro" feel of the restaurant while at the same time updating the physical property. I contacted Alexa Milton. Her background in restaurant design and her understanding of my interest to capture the feel of this orgiginal 1960's restaurant proved to be a challenge. The end result was when loyal, regular customers came in, they noticed "something different", but not sure exactly what it was. New customers were pleased to find a fresh, clean, funky restaurant without the glitz and glamour of the new "neon" places they all had come to expect. The following 2 years have been a banner years for the sales at the restaruant and continue to grow.
